What a pondrous thing. So many sayings about it. Some good, some bad. It makes perfect sense: life is what you make of it. You could sit atop a pile of diamonds and, chances are, be extremely unhappy. For one, diamonds are very rigid and probably uncomfortable to sit on, and for another, all the money and riches in the world can't buy the

WHAT GOOD IS OBLIVION IF THERE'S NOBODY TO SEE THIS FUCKIN HORSE I JUST BOUGHT WITH $$$
'I'm sure that, at times, I've tried to barter for friendship, though not in the most obvious sense.'
A group I was in had to pay a dude to tank a heroic instance once.
'I'm sure that, at times, I've tried to barter for friendship, though not in the most obvious sense. Offered things of myself for the sake of negating my innate loneliness. I am just as human as everyone else. Does everyone else suffer from this conundrum?'
Yeah, I actually feel like shit after I hang out with anyone I know. Mostly because people are hapless fucks and I only took the time to be social because I was hopelessly bored and needed to satiate a social hunger. And the boss dropped something I needed.
'Is it because the positive requires effort, and thus becomes less enjoyable? Or perhaps, just less-easy to obtain?'
Kinda like raiding for purpz. Fuck. WoW. Analogies.
But seriously, all the purpz I ever got with any effort were shitty BOE's that I just sold for gold.
Also, positive things are expensive. Education is expensive. I want to buy a motorcycle, but I don't know if I'll really enjoy it in the long term. Dropping stacks on a toy that seems promising in the pursuit of happiness.
'Are human beings such victims of circumstance and natural law, that we too try to find the simplest path?'
Humans are needlessly complicated. Trying to figure them out is like trying to solve a rubix cube with a fork. Analyzing human aspects drives me crazy. For instance, I think there is a huge relationship between us, humans, and music. iPod boom aside, we could have continued along with our lives without music completely, ignoring cultural impact which is irrelevant to our survival, we as a species have no need for music. But yet it has evolved as with us through the ages.
