something I am grateful for today

An unusually interesting and fun [for me] dream:

I was in a television studio in London, preparing to be interviewed by Carol Vorderman. (We were in one of those cozy corners used for light entertainment interviews, as opposed to a newsanchor desk.)  With us were Ellen DeGeneres and Mike Road -- best known to me as the voice of “Race” Bannon on Jonny Quest.  In my dream, Road was much younger than he actually is, and in fact he looked very much like a real-life Race, which pleased me no end.

All of us sat gabbing amongst ourselves as we waited for a commercial break to end, at which point Carol would begin her interviews. I was there because Space Kid! was being made into an animated TV series. Road was there because he had come out of voice-acting retirement to work on the show, and he was the biggest name in the cast -- the rest of the series was being voiced by new discoveries. Ellen was being interviewed for entirely separate reasons, and I'm sorry but I have no idea what those were.

Most exciting for me was that all of them seemed to really like my work and be very enthusiastic about it, so it was discussed a lot. And I got to tell Road how much I had always liked his work. I was feeling happy, excited and yet very relaxed, not at all nervous about being on national TV -- which should have tipped me off immediately that I was dreaming. There was much laughter, some of it in response to my own attempts to be amusing. I flirted outrageously with Ellen, which seemed to entertain all of them. I wanted to flirt with Carol, but didn't dare... because with Ellen I was clearly not serious, whereas with Carol it wouldn't be so obvious. [In my book, she's a hawty!]

Unfortunately, I woke up before we ever made it to air, so I have no idea how I came across to my adoring public at large. Ah well...
