First entry in the new digs

So, I've moved my advogato diaries here. LJ has much better diary management options, and I'm a sucker for customisability. I'm also a sucker for being able to check up on my friend's diaries at a glance, and here I can do that too.

Coming so soon on the heels of my last entry at advogato (all of which I have manually moved over now) I'm afraid I don't have a lot to write about. My journal entries tend to be monthly more than hourly, so I find myself at a loss. I'll end with two administrative notes then.
  1. Anyone reading through my diary should note that all entries before this one were imported from another diary server, at http://www.advogato.org/. They're a great site, but as mentioned above, journals are not their specialty, and one might as well go to the experts. Advogato had this user-trust system called "certification" which I mention in some of the old entries. If you are reading and encounter this phrases (or related phrases like "Observer level," "Apprentice," or "Journeyer," just ignore them. They refer to things now irrelevant.
  2. I am a dumbass. A wonderful person named lindsay (a.k.a smallstar) just had a birthday, and I managed, in my dumbassedness, to miss the chance to say happy birthday. I will be in deep thought for some time about possible remedies to this situation, but in the meantime, should she happen to read this, she should know that I didn't forget, that I am merely a dumbass. (If you ask her, she will tell you that she already knew this. :)
