The Japanese make anything cute!
So a couple days back, I was looking through a thread on the SomethingAwful Forums when someone mentioned the OS-tans. Just look at them. PC operating systems (and miscellaneous hardware and software), anthropomorphized into cute anime girls.
Having heard of them from readeriif, I check out their image forums, and this image turns up. Yep. World War II warplanes transformed into cute anime girls. (I'm sure at least the third girl from the left on the top row is in abysmally bad taste. Not to mention the ones that are verging on lolicon.)
It is then that I am reminded of a third thing my good flatmate has shared with me, and that I am now going to share with you. For none may resist the Call...of Cthulhu-tan! Behold! Dread Cthulhu and her pretty, pink-scaled servants the Deep Ones! Fear! Shub-Niggurath, the Dark Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young! Quail in horror before the dread Colour out of Space!
For the stars are right, and that is not dead, which can eternal lie...
