The original plan was action-action-action...and then I decided that I needed something calming and steady instead. :)

Thank you!

Very nice. I love your insights into John and what he was feeling after attending his father's funeral and meeting with his brother. It was cool how he went to Teyla, talked to her because she was the only one who would really listen, and that he felt he could be honest with her above everyone else. :)

I love the idea that John gets parts of what he needs from all his team-mates, and that what he finds in Teyla is an anchorage for the man-without-a-home that he's been since he and his family split.

This is very nice! I agree with renisanz, your insights into John were very well written.

Overall, the story flows very well, and the characters seem to be very real.

Good job!

I love it! I loved the look at John's situation with his family, the strife, John's feelings and opinions of them and how complicated it all is. And I loved that he was able to find peace of mind through Teyla, that she was able to give him what he needed without it involving some be-all, end-all answer or bit of wisdom. It was all just right and lovely. Thank you :D

Oh, I'm glad you like it!

I didn't want to make Teyla into a "wise sage" character for once, just someone who was there. And I think the thing about relatives is that you're never wholly free of them, even in another galaxy...
