Hello out there!
School is going okay, but is intensive. Work is fun, but a lot of it! Therefore, I have no time to think, drink or post, most of the time.
But there is good news, and I am doing well, got my own place, etc.
And check THIS out!
I might not have to work for three years, starting in August. omfgyes. I love work, so I might just be a filler, do a day here or there for petty cash, but legitimately, I do not need to work - I can go to school full time and study study study play play play - omfgyes.
http://www.gibill.va.gov/S22/Post_911_Factsheet.pdf This JUST got passed; as of August 2009, I will get full tuition paid for, plus the average price of living by oneself + etc a month. For the next three years. Ohyes.
Thank you, US Government, for not-screwing me for once.
The current GI Bill comes out to pay me 1660 a month; it does not cover my tuition, gas, etc at all. I have to work full time and take out student loans to make rent and all that; it was annoying, considering the Army is supposed to "pay for school for your service". Now they do this, and so, well, yay.
Edit: I just looked up the average rent+ of my area according to the military BAH system - 1137 a month! Dude, I only even make 840 at work. YES.
So they pay all my school fees - natch. Then give me an additional 1137 a month. I can pay off my student loans by working for a little bit longer, while in school, before interest even accrues, then turn around, drop down to super-part-time work (because I do enjoy working where I do), and then, blammo, I'm done. School! Whee!
