Derailed!
Hey, I just got back from Louisiana! I hated it, crawfish is terrible, and I found Jesus while I was there. In brief. I might talk about it in more depth once I've had time to stew.
So, today, I get done cleaning my rifle that I dirtied in Louisiana. We get released 'til Monday. Me and my buddy go get me new headgear cuz I lost it in the swamp in Louisiana probably. Then we go to a little pizza buffet place, CiCi's. We wander down the sidewalk and see this tiny storefront titled The Coffee Place.
What the hell, I say, I'll get some hot cocoa and we'll go back on base. So, we go in, and find ourselves amidst a Date Auction. On this one girl, who I highly expected to go for ridiculous sums (the sums of 350 were being offered at times) - opening bid ten, I just had fun by coming high. I bid 60 (I had previously bid 30, 50, and on one guy 20 -- just all for kicks). Well, going once twice sold. I did not foresee that, plan that, or anything. Weird.
So I guess I have a Date for Charity tomorrow at some place called Monterey's. Ooookay.
