Prey - John Simm at his finest?
I haven't been on Live Journal in, oh, about a year - I changed my email preferences because I was (still am) writing some original stuff and didn't need to be distracted (and Live Journal at it's Simmy best can be VERY distracting XD ). I come back expecting to see oodles of praise for 'Prey' and chat about John's upcoming role in 'Intruders',

Basically, the Russian fansite , JohnSimmNews (also on Twitter) in association with the site I run, (JohnSimmOnline) is organising a special birthday video message for John from all his fans around the world. JohnSimmNews previously did a couple of these for Simon Pegg, which Simon liked so much he tweeted about it - they even got Simon's brother involved, he did a little cameo. :-)
What they/we'd like is for fans to record themselves (preferably outdoors showing something indicative of your home town/City but any way is good) wishing John a happy birthday, either on their mobiles/webcams... or by writing a message on a card and filming/photographing that - you can email the file either to me or to simmnews@mail.ru Or you can create artwork/another kind of greeting which will go up on a professionally-created Tumblr account, email same as before.
I hope it's something you might all like to get involved in - obviously it's a bit secret so we're not giving out all the details on twitter or anywhere else too public in case John gets wind of it; we're mainly just asking interested parties to get in touch. I think LJ is fairly private though, isn't it?
The deadline for submissions is 30th June (John's b-day being on 10th July) ... submissions to either admin@johnsimmonline.com or simmnews@mail.ru ...
