makeyourlist 30.3 - make your own list
Um. Realized I sorta haven't updated in a while, and I've actually had an eventful week. So, here, in list form, Stuff That Happened This Week:
- was in L.A. last weekend visiting my friend Sasha. For a wedding that fell through, so I have a broken hearted best-friend, and a guy name Peter I really want to kick in the balls. Except that I sorta like him. He better get his act together.
- started a new job on Monday. I'm working at the Cassidy Health Center with/for Terry and JP. Oh, and that quiet guy named Will. (I think he's afraid of me.) I've been training this week, getting to know stuff, and JP likes to hold it over my head that he's my boss. Asshole. We're still figuring out what my role is.
- JP and I have started working together - as partners - on plans for opening up a center for runaways. We're both pretty pumped about our ideas and plans. Will take a while, but hey, it'll be good. [locked to self] Note: Talk to Terry and JP, work out a schedule. Possibly two or three days a week at the Center, so that I can spend either two or three days focusing on stuff for the shelter [unlocked]
- [locked] Somewhat related: had a Very Serious Talk with Jean-Paul. It was a bit tense and uncomfortable (all on my part) but I think we actually had good communication without fighting, which is sorta new for us. I still don't know how to deal with any of it, or how to do what he wants/needs, but. It's a start. [unlocked]
- went to my first ever Broadway musical, with my friend Sally. It was The Lion King. It was... actually, it was good. For a bunch of people dressed up like African animals that sang and danced.
- Doug and I got approved for an apartment, we're moving in this weekend. We're just renting right now, will be looking for a place of our own / may get to buy this place, so we'll see how it goes. But it's a nice place... JP, dude, you coming over sometime in the next couple nights to hang out? You owe me and Doug a movie night.
So, yeah. Things are going pretty good for me right now. *knocks on wood*
