Freedom Force: Says Goodbye to two members.

When the Freedom Force should be working on rebuttals to Tony Stark's ridiculous accusations, or investigating Jean Grey's involvement with Magneto's break out, instead they are having to write an obituary notice regarding two of their finest field agents.

It is a very sad day to have to notify the public that John Allerdyce, aka Pyro, and Stephen Jones, aka Ste, have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Late last night, a fire broke out in one of the warehouse districts of New York City. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that John Allerdyce had been attacked by and was fighting against Mortimer Toynbee, aka Toad, member of the Brotherhood and recently broken out of jail. Allerdyce, knocked unconscious, was unable to control the fire and it quickly engulfed the building. Toynbee escaped alive - firefighters arriving at the scene witnessed his flight from the building and areas but where unable to apprehend him. Stephen Jones, arriving on the scene the same time as the firefighters, recklessly ran into the building - due to his own mutation of being able to absorbed heat and energy, it is possible he thought he would be able to save Allerdyce. However, Jones was stuck down falling debris, and was also knocked unconscious.

The firefighters were able to pull both bodies from the fire, but Allerdyce was already dead at the time. Jones died of related causes a few hours later in the hospital.

As per their contracts, the bodies of Allerdyce and Jones will not be released from Freedom Force custody until the investigation has been completed and the case closed. Upon that time, they will be cremated and their ashes released to those persons stated in their wills. At this current time, the information in their wills is being kept completely confidential. All their assets and estates are frozen until the release period of ninety days, also as per their contracts.

Due to the high risks that is posed with Toynbee and the other Brotherhood members out on the loose, and to protect their family and friends, there will be no funeral or wake for either of them. All flowers can be sent to the Children's Hospital of New York, and any cash donations can be given to the Cassidy Health Center in memorium of John Allerdyce and Ste Jones.

ooc: As I previously stated, not really dead. Just appearing that way! (Ste too.) Yes, I had informed the muns of John's and Ste's Significant Others before dropping this bomb on them. Bea!mun, for when you return, Bea is being granted permission to stay at John's penthouse until the wills are worked out. (Hopefully, John will actually be back by then.) Up to you what you want to do from there. :)
