A meeting. [RP with tm_magneto]

Pyro is stretched out on his bed when he glances over at the clock on his nightstand. He sighs deeply. Time to go. He turns off his television, the satellite picking up American stations. He's been keeping an eye out for news about Doug, and now for news about the shooting that put Jean-Paul in danger. Fucking Friends of Humanity. He will ( Read more... )

"Come in," Erik calls, seated behind his desk. He's not in uniform, is simply dressed in slacks and a dark grey sweater that Anna bought him a few months ago. He doesn't stand when Pyro enters.

"John. Have a seat." He waves towards the seat in front of his desk, his voice even and just a little cool.

Pyro takes the seat, as Magneto asks, but sits rigidly, almost as if standing at attention in his own seat.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" Pyro asked, rather formally.

"Yes." Erik leans back. He speaks without coating what he is going to say. "John, I'm afraid that you're going to have to leave. Not forever," he says, holding his hand up, . "But until you have settled whatever issues are so distracting you. I need a soldier. I have a lovesick teenager who can't focus." The words are harsh, but they are true. "I need you to come back when--if--you remember how to be Pyro. My soldier."

Pyro blinked. He was stunned, shocked. He didn't hear a lot after the words you're going to have to leave. But he tried to focus on it. Magneto... didn't think he was worthy.

"But, the Brotherhood is my home. The Cause is what I want to fight for." Pryo frowned, and hung his head, his shoulders sagging. "I... I'm sorry if I'm a disappointment. I never meant for any of it to happen."

And that's the truth. He hadn't meant for any of it to happen, to fall for Doug, to be so distracted. And so much more.

But then he turned hard, much like the soldier Magneto was wanting, expecting. He wasn't going to get upset, or argue with his boss, and he certainly wasn't going to beg. Magneto had, obviously, made his decision. He sat up straight, held his head up high, and looked Magneto in the eye.

"What does that mean for me, being out there on my own? And when can I expect to be allowed to come back?"
