[[OOC: Just for me and Pyro to keep track of his involvement in Providence.]]
So, this weekend was the
summit in Providence. Of course, I
stood behind Magneto during his
opening remarks. After that, I sat through the following speeches:
Captain America (boring oldtimer),
Scott Summers (not as old but equaly as boring),
Rogue (surprising),
Tony Stark (crazy and drunk), and
DOOOOOM (just plain crazy).
And then was the
The Open Bar. Goddamn, I must say, I needed liked the open bar. First, I had
a chat with Doug, this guy I used to go to school with back at the Institute. I think I may have walked away with a crush friend. Or something. Well, I'm pretty sure he doesn't hate me, so that's a plus. And then Crazy Doom
yelled at me. After that, I got into a
verbal sparing match with Rogue. I totally won.
All in all... an interesting weekend. Except for the boring speeches by all the (as I said to Rogue) high and mighty 'good guys' who insist we are wrong, they are right, and that there is 'another way'.
Except that not one of them actually came up with a viable solution that will have any real results that are any different than what is going on right now. So, basically? The whole weekend was pointless. Except for getting to talk to Doug and argue with Rogue.
