During Magneto’s
opening remarks, Pyro stands slightly behind the podium and to the right. He faces straight ahead, keeping his chin level, and his hands clasped behind his back; a soldier’s stance.
He can’t help but sweep his eyes across the crowd before him, recognizing so many of the famous and ‘important’ faces. He knows them by name and face, mostly, but they've all been around so long its kind of hard to remember who did what in the past. (He idly thinks that maybe the Institute should have had a Super-Heroes/Super-Villians History class; maybe they did, but he just never stuck around to end up taking it.)
He focuses again, nodding at Magneto's words, but then it really hits him; he’s playing in the major leagues now.
Ever since joining Magneto, Pyro knew he was where he belonged. And it quickly became known that he was part of the Brotherhood. (How could it not, with them being in the news and so publicly known?) But before this? Well, he’s never even been on screen as Magneto publicly addressed the nation on television before.
He's never denied being in the Brotherhood, but this certainly was the first time he's publicly shown himself as being a member.
He schools his face, hoping to appear impassive, but loyal and determined, rather than nervous. He's not intimidated, not afraid - he is where he should be.
He has no plans to speak, no grandiose speeches or arguments to make - he doesn’t think his youth would be taken very seriously, which totally sucks - but he's always been better with actions than with words anyway.
He knows his position and presence at Magneto’s side will speak volumes.
