I spent the weekend unable to use the computer because a certain half-Siamese cat decided to knock the keyboard off the table, and it broke. So, I had to get a new keyboard yesterday, and since we spent the day reading at Starbucks and I came home and watched the ball game (Braves lost to the Angels despite an excellent complete game by Jorge Campillo) I didn't set it up until this morning. This one is nice, albeit set up for Vista, but it is wireless and came with a mouse, so I replaced both. Lucy is aware that Daddy's not happy and has been avoiding the office.
Speaking of which, a belated Happy Father's Day to all.
I'm sure that everyone knows that Tim Russert of NBC News passed away rather suddenly last week. I never watched "Meet The Press", so I really can't say he was a great interviewer with any great confidence, but I do remember a show he did where he interviewed Yogi Berra, Carlton Fisk, Tim McCarver and Gary Carter, four of baseball's greatest catchers. It was one of the most enjoyable hours I've spent, and Russert looked like he had a great time. If they do a tribute to him, that should be a part of it.
Rumor has it that they'll replace him with the ESPN reject. Talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous...
