Giving this another shot...
Well here I am again. Going to give this another shot after seeing someone actually request my presence. I’ve been mostly busy reading scripts and enduring the Los Angeles heat. I was planning on going up to Seattle for a few weeks if the heat keeps up. I hate that I have to run the A/C constantly just to stay comfortable - I feel almost like a prisoner in my own house.
I watched the Cannes film festival on IFC and everyone looked so great. Made me think about the Emmys. Dang that was like a decade ago when I was there those few charmed times. Never won one, but hearing your name announced as a nominee on the night, it’s really something else. You get that anticipation - even though you know you can’t possibly win. It’s just, I don’t know, an experience unto itself.
I’m going to go take a ride down to Barneys and have some pizza and beer, maybe a game of pool until it cools off.
