Carter shakes his head. "No. I can't place the name. Should I know him? Was he a patient?"

"Nope. A friend of mine. Never mind."

"Ah. Okay." Her gives her a quizzical look. "So...can I help you with anything?"

"No." She pauses. "You just reminded me of a friend. With the 'knowledge' thing."

[john_carter_md]

Carter nods. "I see. It's true. knowledge is power. There's nothing like it."

"Yup. Useful stuff."

[john_carter_md]

"Definitely." Carter offers his hand then. "I'm John Carter. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss..."

"Chase," Cordy returns the handshake. "Cordelia Chase."

[john_carter_md]

"I'm honred to meet you, Cordelia Chase." He gives her a once-over glance, admiring her outfit. "Nice clothes."

Cordy grinned.

"Impressive."

[john_carter_md]

Carter shrugs. "Just an observation. That sweater really brings out your eyes," he winks.

"Have I died recently, and gone to heaven or something?" she asks, her eyebrows raised. "A man with a sense of fashion?"

Carter laughs. "I see a lot of really strange outfits come through the hospital. I've learned over the years what works and what doesn't. That," he gestures at her, "works."

She laughs as well.

"I might have to hug you for saving my faith in the male race."

Carter holds his arms out. "I never refuse a hug."
