week 7
Its tueday again so another week has past. I had made an appointment with the physio for today to finally get rid of the cast. Last thursday I wasnt happy with things and with John leaving on Saturday. I thought it would be a good idea to at least know how things were progressing so I went and saw my Physiotherapist at her other rooms. She had a look at both the cast and the x-rays and in her opinion the cast was still supportive and the amount of unknitted bone was not that bad. She suggested that I get rid of the cast and get an inflatable boot . I've had a look at 0ne of these online and its made of rigid plastic and velcros together. Then it's inflated with a small pump and is very supportive. It can be removed when showering and sleeping which will be much easier. That was the good news, but the bad news was that she had to order one in and she wanted a longer appointment to remove the cast and fit the boot. That appointment is this thursday....watch for an update.
John left on his business trip last saturday and is, at present in Colombo Sri Lanka. He emailed and said he was liking it in spite of increadable security everywhere. he's away for just over two weeks and hopefully I will be much more mobile by the time he returns.
