another day
A quick summary of the last few days. We went to sydney last thursday. We both had a ticket to fly to the Gold Coast for a 50th birthday party on Friday night. I decided against goingand got a doctors certificate that specifically said i couldnt fly and got a full refund.(this is a handy tip if ever you need to cancel a flight).
John left early on Friday morning so I had a day to fill in on my own. I got thru a bit of housework and some office work as well and then went out to lunch. A friend then picked me up later in the afternoon and i had few beers at the local pub.
On saturday I woke up early and drove over to newtown and got my haircut. Driving is a bit of a challenge.......its my right foot...my toes are exposed, so I can work the accelerator with my big toe and brake with my left foot...driving a manual change is impossible. i wouldnt want to be driving everywhere, but sneaking over there early in the morning wasnt too bad.
The rest of the day was spent around the house getting things together for the next 10 days down the coast. John got back in late on saturday night.
Now we are at the coast house again and I am getting stuck into tthis scanning project. Today i should get 240 scanned and I've sorted thru a box full of negatives which will be scanned in eventually.
My ankle feels much better...I can put weight on it now and it dosent ache nearly as much if its down a lot. I spoke to a customer of mine today and she had broken here anklein a similar way last year...she warned me that having the cast of dosent mean that everything will be ok straight away...she had another couple of weeks of hobbling. All that is before me.......for now im happy to be at least getting something usefull accomlished.
