Why saving others' post in LJ for later comments can be a good thing

Good enough in translating RSS/blogs to LiveJournal posts is that once Livejournal has it translated, you can leave comments on it, save it in your list of favorites, etc etc. However, there's more to be done: what if LiveJournal could embed RSS/blog posts into ones of its own?
