As much fun and entertaining as Zombieland was, it peaked far too early. Essentially, the movie reached a point of "Hm.. well uh.. okay now wtf do we do?" The solution they came up with was for the two female characters to think it was a good idea to head off IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT SURROUNDED BY ZOMBIES. So the finale is based upon a completely dumbass decision, which almost ruined the movie for me. But not quite. It was still enjoyable.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Woody Harrelson, he was absolutely wonderful. And not to give away anything, since it was a complete surprise to me (I didn't know he was in this movie), the Hollywood star who joins them, his death was fantastic. Best death scene ever. lollerskates His death was not surprising, but his dying makes up for it.
A gem of a movie I just finished watching was
Falling Down. I don't get it, it seems like this movie should be as much of a hit as Taxi Driver.. yet I've never bloody heard of it, and it was relatively more recent, only came out in 1993.
Great performances turned in by both Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall. I suck at summaries, so just check out the imdb link. Basically, Douglas finally snaps, decides to head "home" to his ex-wife and daughter, and manages to lash out and wreak havoc entirely along the way.
