Countdown officially started
It's now official, I can start counting down the days.
October 15 this fall.
The hall for the wedding is reserved. It's been complicated, there was a lot of scheduling issues around which to work... But the hall wasn't available in May until October 15. Earlier would have been nightmare, and later would have meant getting wed in the snow.
Unfortunately, it's in conflict with Godfroy's Norman event in Québec... Yet, the wedding reception will last until the end of the afternoon (for many reasons, we prefer not to have this in the evening). Hmm, that might still work. Not for Luke and I, obviously (we have other plans for that night... ) but for 3/4 of our wedding guests *grin*
I'm happy :-) I didn't want a wedding in the summer time. Anyone who saw me at GNEW, the year it was supposedly cooler than usual, knows exactly why. You see, purple suits be a lot better on my clothing than on my face. Luke likes fall, like me. I have my fall pilgrimage every year I can make it. I'm a Scorpio, I love fall, and it's my B-Day season. I never actually thought I would find someone who shares that many of my unusual tastes ^_^
Mmm, and I'm gonna have a perfectly good reason to wear a fancy cape, now... and it won't have to be period documented! *lol*
It still bugs me that our wedding is against the Normanum Furorum event... I'll see if we can have the hall on Oct. 22 instead. Otherwise, we'll have to do it that way. Part of me can't help thinking that an event is easier to move than a wedding and that "real life comes first"... But still.
