GRE

Took the GRE today. It was nerve-wracking let me tell ya. I made a huge mistake on the Quantitative section (that's their special people word for math section). I have this nasty little habit of rushing through problems and not reading carefully, which means that the question I answer is not the question they asked. So I made sure to read through each problem 3-4 times and do much unnecessary math to make ABSOLUTELY sure that my answer was correct. Its a timed test, so this meant that there were a lot of problems I didn't get to.

So you see scores right away for everything except the Analytical Writing. I saw my score and freaked! I was thinking it was really bad and now I can't get into any Grad School and wah wah wah.

So I got home and called Rick and he reminded me that the reason for the test isn't so I can call everyone I know and tell them how smart I am, its to get me into school. So I looked online and I'm fine! 98th percentile! Every school I saw online (in my admittedly quick Google search for GRE score meaning) would accept these scores. My Quant was average (that's what happens when you don't answer a third of the questions) but my Verbal (I think they have a special people word for that too) saved my ass.
