Jamie Leigh Jones and U.S. contractor accountability

Dec 15, 2007 13:48

Jamie Leigh Jones, the woman who was brutally gang-raped by other Americans in Iraq and then subjected to a coverup where the responsible corporations destroyed the evidence, has started the Jamie Leigh Foundation for victims of sex crimes and sexual harassment committed by Americans while working abroad. http://www.jamiesfoundation.org/ She turned to art to help her heal and has some beautiful paintings up on her site.

MoveOn.org has a petition to Congress to investigate the rape of Jamie Leigh Jones, hold those involved accountable, and bring US contractors under the jurisdiction of US law: http://pol.moveon.org/contractors_accountable/
I signed it.
