wow
so i kinda just left this journal to die it seems....hehe anyways....well lots of stuff has happened...ill just recap a few stuff going on my life right now.....
so i finished my student teaching in kindergarten on March 21st. It was a sad day since i loved my kinders. I mean I really enjoyed teaching them and just everything about kindergarten in general. The whole experience was great. My master teacher is the best and has taught me alot. Plus she is retiring this year and she gave me some stuff since she wont need it anymore. Anyways the whole last week of my student teaching in kinder I was wondering where I would go for my next assignment. So far by that last day they still hadnt told us but that followiung week was our spring break so it was ok.
well.....I got 4th grade. Im at emerson elementary which is a charter school. The school is very amazing....very high parent involvement....in fact they require u to volunteer 25 hours per student and if u cant do the hours then each hour is equal to 6 dollars...anyways its a world of difference from signal hill but I mean i still missed signal hill that first week. So I was scared to get 4th graders but my kids are not that bad. I actually have a pretty advanced class which suprised me what they were capable of doing and what theyve already done. They are all very nice of course. Anyways i am my master teachers first student teacher. and well....i feel like i havent done much so far.....but i mean she prob isnt sure what i am capable of doing.
so i have been there for 4 weeks alreday!! i cant believe it. where has the time been?? I have 3 weeks left student teaching and then i can finally graduate!! my graduation date is May 29th at 5pm. i am soo excited. I have waited for this day forever! so i know these last 3 weeks are going to go by so fast....i mean its already wednesday tomorrow so this week is going by fast as is.
but other then that ive just been busy with student teaching....i barely have time for other things....i still work at og though but only on friday sat and sundays.....as of right now i hate coming in on fridays cuz i pretty much go student teach and then come home and then go to work.....so i get no break hardly. saturdays have been good cuz i work int he morning and then i have time to hang out with eric.
so the only thing that sucks is that I only see eric on friday and saturdays. I mean we are both extremely busy so we cant hang out during the week but its better seeing him twice a week rather then once a month like when he was up at santa cruz.
other then that i havent done much....in feb i went to vegas, then in march i didnt go much too exciting, and in early april i went to san diego for a dodger game and we stayed the night and chilled at the bars and waht not....so i am still keeping my self busy but I think now i need to focus on my projects for student teacing. I still hvae to do a TPA assignment and then put togther a portfolio. So we'll see how the rest of the 3 weeks comes along. But i cant wait til may 29th! then im having a party on the 31st!! so it shall be a fun month next month. alrighty well ill post sooner wiht other info..i promise!!
