It is odd...

I look at my friendslist and everyone is talking about hockey and it is almost kind of amazing how quickly I get OUT of that mode. I have not watched any hockey on TV and I kind of like having free time. I can actually attend my yoga class and it is nice having non-hockey people to go out and have some coffee or whatever with. Oh, and the public school board meetings, too.

I met this nice single woman named Elizabeth at one of the board meetings. Her son Jacob is in Molly's grade...hmm, maybe. I am not looking for a relationship or anything but lately, lately, I have just been craving curves, a woman. This generally happens after the hockey season, when I am rather sick of the feel, the sight, the smell of men in general so I should not be too surprised but I always am.

The cooking show saga began tonight as I tried to make some Jamaican stuff I saw on Boy Meets Grill...fried plantains? Not a big fan. Also I realize how boring my life gets since I am talking about fried plantains in my livejournal now.

Oh yes, and continuing in the "look I really AM cultured!" vein, La Traviata is playing soon at the Vancouver Opera. Anyone interested in going? My favorite Verdi opera...yes, shut up. I do like opera. Well, now, anyway, that I can actually read the supertitles as they go past. Maybe I will take Elizabeth.

Oh yes, and this is a GIP of sorts, since you know, Canucks icon is gone. I am not sure if it will ever return. Me and the kids - Molly up top and Wilma down below.
