I wish I had someone to talk about HBO's The Wire with. Nobody I know personally watches it, and it's quite possibly one of the best dramas ever put on television. I watched the season premiere of Lost tonight and one of the characters (who plays Cedric Daniels on The Wire) was the guy who was the "lawyer" who talked to Hugo in the mental hospital near the beginning of the show, and I had nobody to share my elation with when I saw him playing his trademark intense badass self. I caught part of Hackers on TV the other day and nearly spazzed out when I saw that the bumbling FBI agent is played by the same guy who plays Bunk. I was so excited to see the cool cool cat who plays Stringer Bell in American Gangster playing Tango, who **SPOILER** promptly gets shot in the head by Denzel Washington in the street in the middle of the day near the beginning of his rise to power (and the movie) /SPOILER. When I saw that friggin' Omar is going to be in a comedy sketch with MTV's The Human Giant, I nearly crapped my pantz. Finally, I was forced to write this post tonight when I saw that Busted Tees is carrying a Carcetti for Mayor shirt and there wasn't a damn person I could tell about it. For crying out loud, It's a New Day in Baltimore!
Somebody please watch this show with me, so I can geek out about it with you. You should start at season 1 for the full effect, but trust me, it's well worth it. I wouldn't lead you astray.
