Well, there's the people that recognize, and have used in a moment of stress and/or fear, the quote you titled this post with.

I've thought of this sort of thing in terms of historical epochs. Like, it won't be too long until there's no one around that actually remembers the Second World War. I have friends that don't remember when the Berlin Wall came down, or life without the internet, and this seems incredibly strange to me. I wonder in what other ways the world will conspire to make me feel like a fossil.

I get weird looks when I discuss World of Warcraft sessions with co-workers who also play. It's almost like speaking another language.

"Man, last night I decided to do a living Strat run with a PUG. We had a stupid hunter who kept using his frost traps which aggroed a few extra mobs. When we finally made it to the living side, we didn't have a mage so we couldn't CC any adds and we wiped on almost every other pull."

That's probably not as bad as some of the in-game language can be.

Then there's internet acronyms in general -- afk, brb, lol, rofl, stfu, etc. Sometimes I'll say "brb" out loud in jest and half the people will be confused and the other half will say something like "I cannot believe you just said that."
