A virtual friend of mine who is a female evangelical seminarian/youth minister (not that that matters / it's just background info) posted in my other (not-as-work-unfriendly) blog saying with this which I thought was very insightful:

No one ever responds to, "So how's your spiritual life?" With things like, "Well, I'm seeing Jesus in the poor and responding to His needs, so...pretty good."
