There have been a string of hijacks of high-profile communities and journals lately, where hackers have been gaining access to an LJ account, deleting all of the posts in the journal or community, and posting this message:
Dear friends, I, as the maintainer of the community, have to inform you that, due to the recent tragic events, I've decided to stop using LJ as a platform for my community. From now on, all new materials should be posted to the new community I've recently created, as for old posts, you will be able to find them there.
The posts link to sites infected with spyware and malware. If you see this message in any journal on your friends list, do not click on the links! If you have clicked on these links in any community, run your virus program and/or an anti-spyware program such as AdAware or Spybot: Search and Destroy immediately.
