Well, I guess it's been awhile since I've been around. I opened my email about a week ago and saw unread messages from as far back as the middle of November...so I'm ALMOST caught up with my friends' list....that will explain why some of you are getting random comments to posts you mad a loooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggg time ago.
Where have I been? Well, home...work...the same old, same old. Why haven't I been to LJ...let's blame my seasonal depression, shall we? I'm thinking all of my meds decided to stop working the first time the words "Happy Holidays" were heard and I just did not want to do anything.
It didn't help that my husband decided to play the role of the Grinch this year...and is still playing the part. I like to leave my tree up until after Russian Christmas (January 7th) because I am part Russian, but he is all over me to get it down today...actually, he started getting all over me yesterday, but I didn't listen.
So, he's spent two days on his computer doing "business stuff" and he is getting mad at me for not getting the tree down.
Do I mention that the iPod he didn't buy me for Christmas and that I decided to buy with the Christmas money that my parents gave me, didn't get ordered until yesterday? *growls* Here's hoping Amazon gets it here soon...but with the free SuperSaver Shipping, who knows, right?
How was my Christmas? It was...that about covers it. Best gifts...a set of Sushi dishes from my MIL and a Sudoku board game from SIL. Worst gifts? A gray sweater, pin stripe pants, headband and bracelet from MIL when what I'd asked for was t-shirts and sweat pants. *sigh* Oh and also the fleece vest Hubby's grandparents gave me...*sigh*
The girls were spoiled rotten as always, but now we have to figure out where to put everything. Not an easy feat.
The worst thing about Christmas for me was that because I have no control over the finances anymore and Hubby is a Grinchy Scrooge, I didn't get to buy presents for most of my friends and that ruins the whole Holiday spirit for me even more. *sigh* Hopefully I'll eventually get to.
I'm sorry...there is one worse thing...I didn't get to see shawcrossedlove the entire time...in fact, I haven't gotten to see her since June! I miss my best friend. :(
