Weekend

So, this weekend was super fun.  I liked being in Albuquerque again, without the constraints of another driver.  I just liked being able to say that I was going somewhere . . . and I went.  It's a good feeling.  The trip was really good, and there was GREAT fun and good converstations had ^_^ Yay.

You know, I'm sort of tired of a few particular attitudes I encountered this weekend.  One of my Burque friends is going down a weird path.  I feel really bad, because I think that she looks at me as her true "real" friend (aside from her roommate).  She knows that I understand a lot more than I might let on, and I think in a subconcious way she feeds off of that.  I noticed that when she "feeds off it" she makes me feel a little crowded.  But it's not her fault, I just get a little irritated having to deal with it.  It's a weird paradox.

I'm also tired of dealing with people who seem "sour" when I talk with them.  I seems that they truly become a bit defensive when I say things they don't particularly agree with or want to hear, and that's shitty.  I don't do that with my friends and I don't expect them to do that in return.  If you don't agree with something I say, then fuck you.  Be an adult who has learned to accept all.  "Approval is neither desired or required," but acceptance would be nice.  Life's too short to get defensive ALL THE GOD DAMNED TIME.  We are allowed to have our own opinions, and you don't need to be so rude about disliking mine.  Is this too much to ask?

All in all, I can say that I'm glad I went to Albuquerque and read bumper stickers that said things like, "TOWANDA!", "EVE WAS TRICKED", and "How Would Jesus Drive? - HWJD".  Hahaha.  Oh yeah, at The Zone there was a shirt that had George Bush and Dick Cheney standing side by side with their arms around each other's neck, and they BOTH had shirts on that read, "I'm with Stupid," with arrows pointing to each other.  Bwahahaha.

Ah, I'm back.

P.S. For those of you that care, the State Fair EXPO was finishing it's last weekend this weekend and Pam, Christina, and I totally went.  Man, it was a blast!  I hadn't been in FOREVER.  I rode the Drop Off.  It's that ride that takes you all the way up a huge tower (the tallest ride at the fair, reaching higher than the Ferris Wheel) and then stops for a few seconds to tease you.  THEN . . . It drops you!  OMG, it was so fun and I thought I was going to die, but the excitement was too good to not have done it.  Whoot!
