THE SHANIKWA SHANIKWA MOVIE: Documentary Style
GENRE: COMEDY/MOCUMENTARY
PLOT: Shanikwa Jones (Joey Broyles) is single mother about to make it big shooting this documentary. Shanikwa is a working gurrl who has many aspirations in life. She has just completed her first big record, Africasion. She self published her first book, "Pictures & Words" and is working on her second book, "Proud To Be Africasion". As Shanikwa is rising to fame her old pal Apple Poet Rose (Kelly Doherty) has fallen from grace and all her dreams are falling apart in front of her. Due to all the stress Apple Poet Rose has split personalities. Apple's dominant personality Poet has taken over and will stop at nothing to ruin Shanikwa's newfound success. In the midst of Shanikwa's rise Apple kidnaps JeZelZa Jones (Jackie Broyles), Shanikwa's daughter. Will Shanikwa be able to maintain her newfound success and save her daughter from certain death? Take a ride with Shanikwa Jones and friends through this real life journey.
SETTING: RURAL WISCONSIN, MADISON, SUN PRAIRIE

ACTORS, MAKE-UP, SET, PROPS, COSTUMES, STUNTS
CHARACTER LIST:
Balletrina 2.0-(Shanikwa's Assistant) Boy or “gurrl” who can improv and speak in urban tongue. (i.e. "Gurrl how ya doin?", etc)
Poet Soldiers- 3 or 5 Boys or girls who definitely can take command and keep a straight face. "About Face!"
Shanikwa FANatics- 5-10 Boys and “gurrls” who are "down" with Miss Shanikwa and worship the ground she walks on. They know all the songs and own homemade t-shirts that say "Proud to Be Africasion."
All volunteer actor/actress,make-up,set,props people must be hardworking and available to work this summer every Sundays(Noon-4pm) and Tuesdays(11:00am - 5:00pm).
Auditons will be held:
Sunday, June 10 and Sunday, June 17 at 1:00 PM in Sun Prairie, WI at Sheehan Park West across from the library.
