(no subject)
Leaving to drive to Munich in half an hour. Catching a flight to Birmingham from there. Rhi was going to meet me at the airport, but now it looks like she won't get out of class and I'll be taking a train to Nottingham instead and meeting her there.
Presenting my paper at the conference tomorrow. I finished it in the nick of time, actually only wrote the conclusion last night. I was going to finish it over the weekend, but then I accidentally deleted everything I'd done on Saturday, and ended up spending most of Sunday at Rossi with P., drinking coffee and providing comfort. His grandfather is dying and he was a mess, so obviously I was going to be there for him. Even though death is not my forte ... I can be comforting in just about ANY situation, but with death I don't have the right words. Then again, who does?
Kind of a miracle I finished the paper yesterday at all. Spent the morning at the bank to wire my money to IU (international wire transfers = very time consuming), then met Susanne's boyfriend after lunch to pick up some notes she'd borrowed, then went up to Amy to get instructions for the work I am to do this week (Am I taking work with me on a trip to a conference? Why yes). Then tutoring at 5, class at 6. Paper writing at night.
Stress? What's that?
I thought life would get easier after turning the applications in. Now I'm hoping it'll get easier after the conference, but given that I have a presentation next week, and a meeting about my oral final exam, I'd tend to doubt it.
