I didn't want to go home, it was good.
I got a little upset about the controversy I never would expect from PYM. Equality is a huge part of Quakerism and I think any claim that a decision is rushed is bullshit, I'm sorry to say. Anyway, I don't want to get into, you'll never hear the end of it. It was just frustrating. I'm really glad Zac said what he did, it was right on. :-)
RYM was at DeSales which is in my town so I saw 3 people from school while I was there in the area. I should have invited people over after the gathering!! I only live 15 minutes from where we were! Oh well.
Different note: I just looked up the Iraqi Body Count for this war. Of course who can know what's correct but the source I looked at says upwards of 40,000.
That's ridiculous.
40,000? Do you know how many people that is? I can't tell you how small I feel! What can I do? I'm sitting here in my livingroom at my computer listening to music at my leisure and thousands of people are dying--- and that's just Iraqis dying in Iraq, how many people die for no good reason everyday? It's so sad. I wish I could do something.
