'The price for an engagement ring can vary considerably. Usually, they can be found within the range of a few hundred dollars to several hundred thousand dollars. Price varies by the material used, the value of the diamond, and retailer. A conventional buying price ranging from two to three months wages for a ring guideline originated from De Beers marketing materials in the early 20th century, in an effort to increase the sale of diamonds."

So Philip earned $67,000 in August (£37,630.32) therefore he should spend £75,000-£112,000, so why is a Dior ring such a big deal. I have been in love with the Diorette range since I saw some last year in the Nice airport. I am not sur,e which I like best, but at $4,000-$6000 each, surely I can have the whole collection?

Matching $1,000 earrings would obviously need to be stuck onto plugs. Lolz.

Not that we're planning on getting engaged or buying a house or having a baby or anything.
