been a while, hasn't it! but no news = good news!
still loving the new job, things are starting to make more and more sense, which is nice. Feeling more comfortable with the new coworkers which is lovely too.
We had another (and by another, I mean besides me!) new buyer start this Monday, which means I'm not the newbie anymore, whoo! Part of me is very empathetic towards the torrent of first week info she's taking in right now, but the goofy snark in me is also - 'Ha, been there, mastered that, take that beeyatches!' :)
My manager mentioned to the new gal today not to worry, as I had picked up everything really quickly, and she chatted to after that i mentioned how I really like this kind of work, and I said Yes, I really do love it! So it was great to hear those comments and nice to know I'm on track!
Let's see, the scooter ride a couple of weeks ago was great fun. Have a camping scooter rally not this weekend but next up in Guernville, but I'm driving up for that one, ha.
Last weekend I had a crafty get together with my art car friends, which was lovely. I just did more of knitting of my Tubey sweater, which is coming along nicely. Two of my artcar buddies were there from out of town (Seattle and Minneapolis) so it was great to get to see them. The night before I stayed over at Samantha and Andrew's place and I got to take Celeste to her figure skating lesson in the morning, and watch her skate, which was fun, but chilly!
Sunday I finally got around to sewing up the curtains for my truck. The sewing was minimal, just cutting out some purple stretch velour I already had, and sewing on some strips of velcro to the top, and then being a slacker I just safety pinned some squares of velcro to the bottom corners. Eventually those may get sewed on :)
We just got some tickets to the Earthquakes soccer game for this Sunday at the Coliseum, so that's something we're doing this weekend!
Oh, the other recent thing is that we joined the gym, and I have even been several times, haha. The gym ettiquette at this particular 24hr fitness is crap tho, hardly anyone takes a towel with them, and they drag their bags around everywhere, and the staff doesn't police either of those things. It's a very busy location too. There is a much smaller 24hr Fitness circuit gym down in Alameda that we went to one night, and I like that one better, so I'll probably split my time between the two.
