"It Was Beauty That Killed The Beast"
Or it could have been that Carl Denham was an asshole and shouldn't have brought the twenty five foot tall ape to Broadway, but that's just me.
As some might guess, I just got back from seeing King Kong. Me, Sean, Maria and Keith went after work, and I really need to thank Peter Jackson for reminding me of everything I love about the movies. It was absolutely amazing, though probably not for your average person who only has about a five second attention span. THEY, should stick to Legally Blonde sequels.
A few notes on my friends who I must speak about a bit. I found out today that Sean and Maria finally got engaged, which anyone who has known them longer then five minutes will probably just say, "Well, duh." Still though, this is awesome news, and I'm ridiculously happy for the two of them. Granted, this is still the woman I'm fighting with over Kate Beckinsale, I'm hoping her getting married will make me the winner by default or something. Seriously, hooray for Sean and Maria.
It's funny, alot of us who work together at Apple, we see each other like, all the time, but it's always at work, and it's far too few where we have the chance to just go out and be ourselves and enjoy each other's company. I think that's why the BBQ I had over the summer was such a big deal for everyone, we NEVER get to do things like that. So yeah, tonight was a ridiculous ammount of fun, and a much needed one. I don't see my friends nearly enough, and frankly, I love these people.
So in short, Hooray to my friends for being awesome and keeping me from retreating into myself all the time. I can honestly say my life is better with them in it.
