just because someone is thin doesn't mean they're anorexic or should drastically change their eating habits to put on weight.
c'mon man - the media sucks in general...constantly talking about body image only makes it worse-- for both sides.

my name is molly, you can see my ribs, i eat when i'm hungry.

I wouldn't dare say that thin women are wrong for being thin. It's all about your state of mind. Thin women are just as beautiful as chubby women (well, almost as beautiful, we'll say). It's the low self-esteem, victim mentality, and the self-destructiveness that I don't like. Some of the skinniest people I know eat like pigs. I used to be that way before high school.

Why don't you like us talking about body image? We're not trying to persuade people to get fatter. We want to see people love themselves and be stronger. This is for my own benefit, as I'm tired of women who are welcome mats. I don't find that attractive. And I want to find women who are attractive. The more women that are like this, the more options I have. I very much have alterior motives here.

anorexia and bulimia as well as si (cutting/burning/whatever) is all spread by talking about it and "raising awareness".

its just the same as drug "education", the more you know about it, the more likely you are to do it. its such bullshit. instead of coddling these people and saying that we are all "pretty", people just need to shut up. it's not a disease, its just being a selfish attention whore...and unfortuantely its pretty damn trendy right now.

i find it disgusting and offensive to refer to skinny girls as anorexic. i try to be healthy, and its my opinion that that is the best way to be.

P.S. You lie joe, you're always trying to get me to eat more so i'll gain weight....you ARE trying to persuade me to get fatter!!!!

Alright, homey, we about to LJ BRAWL here. Show me the evidence, SHOW me where it says that raising awareness increases the problem. Drugs will be offered whether you've heard of them or not. I think it's better to appeal to people's intelligence so they make educated decisions about what they do to themselves. A certain person could have benefitted from a little more awareness about what marijuana and alcohol might do to her memory. And if it wasn't the alcohol and marijuana, then something seriously wrong happened ( ... )

uh, hey, Joe? This person is an anonymous troll. I would recommend deleting this entire thread.

Unless it's a friend of yours whom you know. In which case she either needs to stop being an idiot or be clearer in her sarcasm.

She left her name earlier in the thread and I do know her. :)
She's a bit of a brat sometimes, but I love her anyway.
