Away From Home

What is it that makes home so comfortable? I don't know what exactly makes it that way. Maybe the sense of security? The personal feel to it maybe? I don't quite know, but what I do know is that no Fairfield Inn, not even the one in Jessup, Maryland, could come close to making me feel at home. Gimpy did a great job of booking rooms in a hotel which was a good 1/2 hour away from the stadium. We had two rooms reserved and, just our luck, they were on two different floors!!! Well that wasn't the worst part of the entire Baltimore trip, the worst part being in a bar in downtown Baltimore (which, if you haven't been there, is about a trillion times scarier than Chester will ever be) buying cases of overpriced beer just so we can attempt to tailgate before the game. The game was good, Phillies won (I didn't care who won, I liked both teams). So we got back to the hotel and basically drank the night away in our rooms. I can't remember the entire night but I do remember Andy doing a summersault on the floor, Josh writing out a complaint to the management that stated "there were too many jiggaboos in the hotel" under the pen name of Kerwin Shmansky, Micky dropping trough (frightening), and parts of Late Night with Conan O'Brein. I was up at 6 this morning getting ready for the big "Continental Breakfast!!!" that came free with our room, so I was already set for the day. I think I drank about 23 cups of apple juice. So what did I learn from my experiences in Baltimore? Well first off, Wendy's apparently has fried chicken, McDonalds sells double-quarter pounders for $.99, I have developed a taste for Corona, Don Pablo's is decent, baseball was definitely fun, and diarrhea is the nastiest lube around (don't ask about that one, I'm still throwing up thinking about it)!
