"We all live in Amerika, coca-cola, wonderbra"

It's been almost a month since the last, guess I should update eh? My MRI scan shows up as completely normal. Had it confirmed by Prof Goadsby my neurologist who I saw recently. Normal scan means no brain tumour but also means unknown reason for why I have headaches every single freakin' day. One golden shiny wire of hope came from when Goadsby recommended that I should step up the current medication I'm on to a higher dose and also get a greater occipital nerve injection (cortisone steriod injection to the back of my head) which in 2/3 people like me, greatly reduces the frequency of their severe attacks. That means I'll still keep my 24/7 background pain, but I can live with that, it's the severe disabling attacks that do me in. Serious, if that works for me, I'll be the happiest man known to the world, even though ever since leaving Americaland I've been coping better all the time anyways.

There aren't many risks apparently, research online confirms that, so I'm not apprehensive in the slightest. Muv thought it was amazing how straight away I was like "Yes. Give." 'cause I'm just so trodden into sodden cow shit and finally want some escape. 6-8 week waiting list on the NHS would mean that if it works I'll be set for starting Uni relatively migraine free. How glorious would that be...

So despite daily grief, I do live. Started Muay Thai a couple weeks ago, totally did me in first day and everything. Completely unlike anything I've experienced before, you get pushed all the way. Jogging, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and more jogging with someone on your back and then more push-ups and that was just the warm up. Then came pad-work for a total of 1.5 hours with another intense warm-down. My stamina was quite a bit better than more than half of the people there though which was nice. Nice, that is, until I was partnered with a collosal black man who in the beginning destroyed my guard with his straights -- me being fast and full of evergy wasn't everything, the couple of nice blows to the face were the only thing holding my knackered arms up. It was a lot of fun, though, it's great to be pushed so hard and can totally see how sticking to it would be immensely rewarding, I didn't realise how rusty I was.

Speaking of rusty, to get to one of the gyms where I train, there's a rusty news stand advertising The Evening Standard and selling the papers last Thursday was quite possibly the most beautiful chinese lady to grace this land. I was late last time, but next time, if she's there, I will find the inner light to talk to her.

Also been using the gym twice a week for a while, trying to get routine weight training, running several times a week as well as Muay Thai before I start Uni, so that it's easier to continue with it when I do start. It's funny seeing myself looking more manly turk-genghis barbarian by the day with broadening shoulders, increased body size and ability to hoist k3b4b stand on my back easier than ever.

Oh man, that reminds me. Week or so ago, I stepped into the greatest Turkish kebab shop of all time, mangal ocakbasi, where they cook their meat on the coals in front of you and it's tasty hmmammashoih and this guy who worked there swore I was Turkish.

"(insert turkish greeting)"
"I'm not Turkish!"
"You came in only two days ago, I spoke to you before!"
"Must've been someone else!"
"Hmm... maybe.. you also look very much like my Turkish friend in Germany.. you sure you're not Turkish?"
"I'm sure!"
"Here's your food"
"Teşekkürler! (--means 'Thanks' [pron: tehshekyouleh] in Turkish)
"I knew you were Turkish! ...hey! come back!"
By that point I ran off leaving him to believe whatever :D

Also with my time been playing guitar whenever I can, meeting random people I've met from random sources (Xinya's gonna bring me back a present from China, how sweet) and gonna get driving lessons finally. Going to Egham many a time, most recently I've moved most my crap in, made me realise how convienient driving would be. I don't care if i have to Fred Flintstone it, I just want a bloody license.

I spend next to no time online anymore, but my head does well as a result. I pretty much online set up movies downloading and then go read a book or something. I have a ton of books to read when in Uni being a Literature student so I'm gonna try read as many as I can over the summer break, one I do know is great already having read before is Franz Kafka's The Trial. Dan you pants, come quickly to London before the summer's over and distract me from becoming intelligent.

I was so close to recording my little dance I made to Rammstein's Mutter and putting it on YouTube, but I think I'll pass on that..

*self-confident swagger* NO! DON'T!
