Getting w/ teh program.

I've been really disappointed in myself recently, because I've accumulated alot of musical gear but havn't been creating any music with it. I jam once or twice a day to discover new tones and rythmes but nothing has gotten "to tape".  I've decided to sell my ax-7 Keytar to buy some new synthesizers. I realized that it was more of a vanity item then a practical tool, and after seeing that they were selling for a thousand bucks on ebay (since they discontinued making them) I could not resist. My new goal is to write and record a new song every week and post it online to be critiqued. I'm a little concerned that I might be taking on too much, but i've never really pushed myself like this before. I joined a mod-team at ex'pression and snagged the position of lead-sound designer. We're modding half-life 2 and so far things are going really well and I'm hoping to use some of my once-a-week music for that. I've been reading Game Audio Design literature and trying to understand how audio is encoded into games but it's all very confusing to me because of my lack of C++ knowledge. Also, I just got a job and should be starting work as soon as this week which will complicated things a bit. The surprising thing is that I've never felt so comfortable and under-stressed now that i'm over-burdened with projects, school, and work.  That's just how I operate I guess, I put off things till the last minute and spend all my time freaking out about it. It's nice to have everything fall into place. Another project my housemates and I have started is having a recording studio in our house. It took us about 4 months to get a good studio name which is Robot Envy Studios, but that HAD to be step one because otherwise we couldn't register our studio or complete other related paperwork.
