(no subject)
I keep logging on here to read other people's updates, and finally I realize that one of mine is long overdue!
It is Sunday Juy 15th of Harry Potter week, which means on Friday I get to pick up my little light of lights at Border's =D
I saw the 5th Harry Potter movie on Thursday. I really enjoyed it. With the time they were given, I feel like they really did a great job on it, however, I really think the Department of Mysteries scene could have been so much better had they followed the book. It just goes to show how much better the book is than the movie. ALWAYS! With one exception: The Lion, the WItch, and the Wardrobe. This book was a snooze fest! C.S. Lewis has a wonderful imagination and idea, but couldn't put it on paper. I felt like I was reading a child's anecdote, not the book that everyone calls the best book is history, or whatever they call it.
The other Harry Potter movies, except the 3rd *shudders*, were all great, including the 5th.
I can't WAIT til Friday!!! But once it finally comes, it's over =( I mean for good this time. Not even the thought of a book coming out in four years remains. I'll just have to find myself a new little obsession. Something that makes money would be nice, or something that finds gold!
On the day after the book comes out, we are going college scouting in the South. I can't remember all the schools we are looking at, but it won't matter. I will begin my recluse activity with my new book in tow =D
