a typical entry - vegas again
I'm getting plane+hotel tickets for Las Vegas. Participants include: The Inevitable and World-Scorched Jon Judge, The Street-Hardened Aaron Snook, The Jovial and Resourceful Chess (last name?), and of course The Social Fixative, Joe Smith. I can only look forward to resolving personal conflicts for the five days/four nights I will be in said city. I'm sure that these children will argue amongst them selves ceaselessly and at some point I will need to offer neutral and/or self-effacing conversational quips to ease the situtation. This would be not such a problem if I did not think this would happen about every 2.5 minutes. Suck.
In other news:
-As I'm sure anyone who is anyone has heard about my "falling out" with the Illustrious Elizabeth Knapp. Since this has occurred with such frequency I am sure at this point it is about as remarkable as my "I had a drink" updates. (p.s. I do still have free association with my son)
-Once again, for those of you who don't know, I moved into a relatively nice appartment with the previously mentioned Aaron Snook. This has led to a very dramatic incline in my knowledge of cars, "honky-tonks", and actual useful practical knowledge. Mostly cars though. We have a fireplace and a cool entertainment system.
-I still work in D.C. which is.....
-There is a whole fucking lot of snow/sleet/wintry mix outside right now and I believe that I may be indeed trapped.
-I found out that I have a good chance of going blind in a year unless I start wearing expensive spectacles. Great.
