besides the chronic oh-shit-im-about-to-get-sick feeling, im sure having a real good time. its summertime and im freezing my bum off but thats okay.
i could really live here. i could have the sweetest loft in a super trendy part of town under 1k a month. im into it. so many young people, super opened-minded (the l word) and artsy place. and not in the nyc/la LOOK-how-artsy-i-am sort of way. just sweet and kind. really very nice.
but also i think when i say i want to move somewhere it just means i want to exist there longer than a visit. because we all know i dont really live anywhere. but to have a little home base even if i wasnt there all the time. its defineitely on the list.
i really like my lil beach town i live in but sometimes i blow my own mind with the fact that i live in los angeles. it really doesnt make any sense at all. well more sense than new york. i will never live there.
going to shoot some films tomorrow. yay!

ps: i helped a little old lady up several flight of stairs so she could attend some little ramshackle theatre performance. she managed to get through about 80% of the retelling of her day's story before it was time for me to leave her. i think that really sealed the deal for me. that and attending a baby anathallo show last night in some other little hideaway place with a couple other really terrific (and equally weird/dorky) bands. my favorite part is that it was perfectly acceptable to sit and read a book (beer or sans beer) in between sets without anyone thinking you are uncool. he-aven!
