A word before I slip away

I hate my job and want to quit. This is something that's been plaguing me for a couple months now. The job that I perform is not the problem. The problems are thus: the people I work with tend to be overly negative and bitter; my schedule keeps changing; the temp agency I go through is a bunch of idiots. I can handle the occasional bitterness & negativity that comes with every job. It happens. But, these people are constantly unhappy. I don't like that. I wears on me; drains me. Also, I know that most temp agencies tend to be idiots. However, I've been there just over 3 months, two of which on swing (thus entitling me to a 10% shift differential), and I have yet to be making what I'm supposed to be. I found out last week that, on top of still not getting my differential, I was supposed to get a cost of living increase BEFORE going to swing! Yes, that means they've been raping me. As for the schedule, when I signed up, I stated that I could be flexible with my schedule. I've worked retail and call centers before. I've done flexible. However, they've had two major schedule changes in two months. When I started right after Christmas, I was M-F, 6am-2pm, but had to work every other Saturday so we had coverage. Mid-January, they decided to have two shifts: M-F & Tue-Sat for days and swing. This is when I went to swing; I stayed M-F, however. The catch was that, at the beginning of every month, we swapped. Okay, fine, so every other month, I had to work a Saturday. That's fine. So, we don't even get through the first month of the new schedule and they change it AGAIN! This time, instead of having a M-F shift, it's a Sun-Thurs shift. Thus, everyone has to work at least one weekend day. Okay, no problem, I can deal with that. Until they throw in, "oh, and on the days you work that we're short (Fri & Sat for Tue-Sat and Sun & Mon for Sun-Thurs), you have to work a 12 hr shift on one of the days." Is everyone following me? Not only do I have to work a weekend day, but on either Friday or Saturday for this month (I've been Tues-Sat all month), I have to work 12 hrs. Oh, and I'm not done yet! See, we still swap every month. On the Sunday of the first full week, to be precise. That means that all of the people that currently work Tues-Sat (including your's truly) switch to Sun-Thurs, starting THIS COMING Sunday. Notice there's no day(s) off?? That's right, folks, I get to work 10 DAYS IN A ROW!! Oh, and no overtime for it, either. If this had been a choice (i.e. there had been a shift bid or I decided to work a bunch of days in a row so they have coverage), I'd have NO problem! However, since there was no choice, I have issues. So, now I try to find something else. Preferably something better, but I can't be too picky at this point. Unfortunately, I can't just quit; we can't afford that. I have to find something else.

That being said, I have my first interview tomorrow (today, Friday, whatever) at Capers Cafe & Catering. It's part-time (30 hrs/wk) & pays minimum wage + tips, but it's M-F and I'd get to sleep in still, but get home before Joe. It's a start. Joe submitted my resume to the temp agency that's handling the tech support contracts at InFocus. That would be kind of cool. It's in Wilsonville, but I'd be getting back into the tech field, which I desperately need to do.

Yeah, so, to recap: hate my job, they're a bunch of negative nelly's and my temp agency is a bunch of morons. Trying to find a new job if it kills me.
