thanksgiving has come and gone, and everyone knows what that means; it's that much closer to my birthday and i can finally play christmas music without feeling guilty. thanksgiving festivities in this neck of the woods were pretty standard, went to the football game, stayed til half time, came home, went to my aunts in westminster for dinner, johnsons for dessert, and then home. blahblahblah....i know, you're salavating reading this, jealous of the amazing thanksgiving that i had.

wednesday i spent all day with meg delivering, which was fun. well, spending the day with meg was, delivering, not so much. but i digress. wednesday night a bunch of us went to mcnallys, where there was an impromptu oakmont reunion...which was awkward. i enjoyed high school, but most of the people i went to school with i havent kept in contact with, so it was basically a night of awkward conversations that went something like this:

me: hey (insert name of classmate name here), whats going on?
fellow oakmont alumni: hey joe, how are things?
-we shake hands-
me: you done with school?
FOA: yep, i graduated...blahblah...insert high paying job here...yourself?
me: yep, i graduated with degrees in english and communication, a minor in history and my film studies certificate...and i spent the month of may in the south of france at cannes
FOA: (usually somewhat impressed) nice...found a job yet?
me: uh..no...i'm currently working at old navy...(sarcastic remark)
FOA: well hey, something will work out
me: ya, thats what i keep telling myself
-awkward pause/silence
me: well, it was good to see you...going to the game tomorrow?
FOA: not sure, i guess if it doesnt rain...it was good to see you too...
-we toast eachother, and go our seperate ways

rinse.repeat as many times as necessary.

after mcnallys, i headed to the ale house with alison, which proved to be much more entertaining. it was a great time, and i decided that i'm probably going to hang out at the ale house more often, the atmosphere is better, the people were better, and the beer got cheaper as the night wore on...its good to know people in the right places.

today alison and i headed into boston, did some shopping at copley, and hung out. it was good to catch up, since i hadnt really seen her since i was in nyc in september. working all day tomorrow at old navy (10-7) and then going out to dinner and catching bobby, which i'm excited about. speaking of movies, katie and i are starting our movie club wednesday with the queen in worcester, which im anxious to see, i hear helen mirrens performance is nothing short of amazing.

two weeks from tonight and i'll be back in amhizzle with PKF in the midst of chartering/orlando and disney with oakmont. and oakmont is playing in the MIAA super bowl next saturday in holyoke...game time? 10am...LAME. and UMASS also has a playoff game tomorrow...perhaps i'll be going to tennessee in a few weeks? i doubt it, but we'll see.

tv/reading/bed for now, work all day tomorrow...huzzah.

later
