the old navy gig isnt really what i thought it would be, but thats not really a bad thing. basically, after the shipment comes off the trucks and is sorted, i (along with about 6 other people) put it out on the floor. its fun, but its also tedious at the same time. i like the people that i work with, and i like constantly doing things, so thats good. i also get a good discount, which is also awesome; at old navy, gap and banana republic. im getting decent hours, and its nice to have an income again (not that delivering wasnt a good source, but you know); and its also nice to know that this wont last forever. i got my first ONC last week, (old navy cc) which was exciting.
last thursday night was amazing, especially after being at old navy for 11 hours. after the concert at oakmont, kris, myself, drew, doug and katrina went to mcnallys for drinks and dinner, and it was great. we stayed til almost 12:30, just talking, shooting the shit, laughing at the drunks (like keith delachiaie) and having an amazing time. they're great guys, i love hanging out with them- it's one of the only good parts about being home.
saturday night i went to see hairspray at north shore music theatre with the fam, and i didnt care for it. maybe because i was spoiled and saw 90% of the original cast on broadway, but it was just kinda blah. there wasnt really any energy, and it was done in theatre-in-the-round, which i decided i wasnt a fan of. it's too bad, because i've heard only good things about north shore, but i dont know if i'll see a show there again because of the whole theatre-in-the-round ish...blah
PKF is going great, and im looking forward to chartering more and more. i raked leaves with the guys all day, which ended up being a blast, and it was great to get to know a lot of the guys a lot better. chapter was also outstanding, and the ritual that k.libby performed was nothing short of incredbile. speaking of which, i made a decision about chartering/disney, and im going to do both. since i'm an alumnai, i only have to go to initiation, which is friday night/saturday morning. so im flying back to hartford on friday afternoon, doing the initiation stuff friday/saturday, and then flying back to orlando saturday afternoon, and still will hopefully make oakmont's performance on saturday night, and definetly the one on sunday. im excited about both things, and i'm glad that i get to do both, because it would have sucked big time if i had to pick one or the other.
oh, and, last week, mom and i went and saw altar boyz in boston, and it was excellent. it was basically a send up of boy bands, and it was about a christian boy band. the songs were great and the dancing was ridiculous. it was almost like a backstreet boys concert...ha...and we're going to see twelve angry men with "norm" from cheers in a couple weeks. woo!
that wraps up this installment - oh, and i got this SWEET oakmont hoodie this past weekend at the football game, its awesome - time for the end of prison break and then gotta go plug in the lap top. sopranos season 6 and dmb "the best of whats around" out tomorrow. and they'll be at my door when i get home from work.
