Random Thoughts....
I'm just gonna jot down some thoughts I had today. Nothing amazing happened today, just went thru the motions of a regular school day.
1. Someone on my floor was bumping Pharoahe Monch's "Simon says". When I heard it, I immediately put my head out my door and tried to find out where it was coming from. But whoever it was immediately turned down the volume when I did. The guy's not in his room right now but I gotta meet him sometime haha. It may sound stalkerish but it's always good to know someone else here listens to good hip hop. My RA plays guitar and sings country/gospel in his room all the time, not to mention he lists his favorite books as the Bible and the writings of C.S. Lewis. Nice guy, but doesn't seem like he approves of rap. I'll fix that.
2. I have a speech due on Monday for my Public Speaking class. I'm not nervous tho, I have to introduce my good friend Kevin. Haha. I'll tell the class his fascination of asian culture, badminton, and death metal. The class is not THAT bad being a two hour class and going from 7-9 PM. It helps that the teacher is a very good speaker herself, and keeps grinning and smiling while she talks. I really can't help but grin back whenever she shares eye contact with me. And she gives EVERYONE eye contact constantly throughout the class.
3. Damn I'm shy here. Especially with girls. I really gotta fix that. hahaha. I'm just naturally quiet in the classroom, I really don't like talking while the teacher is lecturing. And it doesn't help that the classes here are like high school. In fact all my classes so far have less than 30 people. No big lecture halls for me.
4. The amount of cool classes here continues to grow. Bowling, Billiards, Intermediate Billiards, Racquetball... a FOUR hour political science class? ohh what it really is is a 4 hour session with the mayor of San Luis Obispo, going in and often off campus. And the agricultural Machinery class, complete with lecture and Lab? that lab involves driving tractors for an hour, and learning how to operate those huge plows and junk. Hahaha, there's ton's of ridiculous classes once you look for them here.
