First Friday in SLO...

so what do I do on the first friday of college?

apparently, half of the freshmen population was attending the Everclear concert at the rec center so I just chill in my friend's dorm room. One of the few filipinos here is a DJ and a pretty good one at that. He was just practicing juggling some beats on his turntables while I watched. Afterwards, we met up with Patrick, Calvin, Ryan, Gavin, and Joryl, and we rolled deep into downtown SLO. Downtown SLO has some interesting shops and bars, a lot of them are independent as well. But, by 9-10 PM, some streets are absolutely dead. Its okay tho, just walking around town with a bunch of friends was good enough for our night. We then drove back to the dorms and chilled at Sierra Madre's common room. Played some pool, foosball, and ping pong. Then we hit up the rec center around 11 and played racquetball. Random, yes, but racquetball is AWESOME. We actually asked the worker there about the rules, so we were actually playing by the rules and everything. I'm considering taking the sport as a class sometime next quarter or in the spring. After midnight hit, we all decided to get back to our dorms and get some sleep.. we all know we'll be partying it up tomorrow night anyways.

Here's a rundown of things I plan to do within the coming weeks... that are interesting/i'm excited for haha.
-join PCE, philippine cultural exchange, aka. the filipino club
-join PCE modern, PCE's hip hop dance team.
-join the Badminton club with Kevin
-check out the swing club with ryan, only a dollar for a lesson!
-explore the rest of downtown SLO, shops and restaurants and such.
-meet people, party it up, etc. etc. etc.
-continue getting in shape

I have still YET to party here, but it's okay i just discovered that the asian sorority and frat is having some get-togethers and I'm welcome to visit. I really don't plan on rushing, but this'll be a great way to meet the 15% asian population here.

wooo for diversity! I'm important in this school. really!
