So after my exciting trip back home, I think I managed to convince my parents to let me bring my car down to SLO.  It may be just for one quarter, but if I had a car down here, it would make things MUCH more interesting.  At first, the only reason I wanted to bring a car was to drive home and back whenever I had the chance.  But I realized that this would also mean trips to Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, UCLA, and maybe even Davis, Irvine and San Diego.   It would mean the end of having those lazy weekends on campus that quarter.  Not to mention the constant rides I'd be giving people around town.

To have a car here in Cal Poly is the equivalent of getting your license early sophomore year.  Yeah, yeah, its cool to have a lil' more freedom.  No need for public transportation (which I STILL have not used), and people will be at my whim for a ride at any given time.  But is it really worth it?

On another note, I just realized that I was planning on running a 10K here in SLO on sunday.  Wow, that's really..  really soon.  I know I can just crank out the miles if I really really wanted to on sunday.  But I want to see if I can still race like before.  Its been sooo long since I've done a real speed workout, but none of my friends here run like that.  Hopefully, my Ate is still down to running the race with me.  If she does, then I'll run the whole way with her, pushing her along.  But if she can't, then I'm gonna see just how fast I can run this thing.
